Disney Momma is my blogger name because I love Disney and I also care about families, family time, and family values. That is why I am really excited to share about this new product, Circle.
Circle is not made by Disney, but Disney has partnered with the Circle team to present an affordable, practical internet security device. Circle allows parents to filter internet content in their home, set time limits or a bedtime, and even pause the internet access. It’ can be personalized for multiple people, so one child can have different filters or time limits than another. Plus, it doesn’t have monthly fees, like a lot of the other options in internet security.
Read more about it here, on my husband’s blog. As both a father and a children’s and youth pastor, he cares deeply about internet safety for today’s youth and families. We’re really excited about this new technology.
Is Circle something you would use in your home? Talk about it in the comments.
My husband, two sons, and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby #3 any day now (hopefully, this weekend!). With all of our children, we’ve waited until the delivery to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. I thought it would be fun to ask YOU to guess what the baby will be!
So, do you think it will be PINK or BLUE? Our first GIRL or our third BOY?
When I get home from the hospital, I will randomly select a name from the correct responses and I will send the winner these cute Disney key chains! (CONTEST IS CLOSED)
The designs include Elsa, Baymax, and Tsum Tsums! I think they’re adorable, but I’m giving them to one of YOU! Continue Reading…
When you’re heading on a Disney vacation, there are always big decisions to make about what you should or shouldn’t pack along with you…especially if you’re taking young kids along with you. (Let’s face it: Kids require a lot of stuff!) I’ve made a list of several of the things that I am SO glad we brought with us on our family vacations. I hope they help you with yours as well!
It is so helpful to have zip-top bags on your Disney vacation. We bring A LOT of them in various sizes: gallon, sandwich, quart, and maybe even a few snack bags. You can use them for all kinds of things! I keep one in the front of the bag that we carry in the Parks, so I can safely save my receipts and little mementos (like the stickers from Cast Members or maybe even a fun wrapper…Scrapbookers understand how important this is!) They’re great for stashing away your camera or phone during a rainstorm or a wet ride. Your kids didn’t finish the giant Rice Krispie treat that you just paid $5 for? No problem! Put it in a bag for later! You could also use them to let each child separate the little souvenirs they get, especially pressed pennies.

I’m linking up with Focused on the Magic’s Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop, currently hosted by Disney Day by Day, while Deb undergoes chemo treatments. I’m keeping her in my prayers as she focuses on her healing for the next several weeks. Take care, Deb!

Wednesday afternoon, September 9th, a small fire was extinguished by firefighters at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. The fire occurred in the construction area for the upcoming “Frozen Ever After” attraction.
The entire Norway Pavilion area was evacuated and closed (to be safe), but was reopened the same day. Thankfully, no injuries occurred and no major damage was reported.
Below is a helicopter view of the firetrucks behind the Norway Pavilion:

You’ve probably (at least) heard of a Dole Whip.
It’s one of the Disney Parks’ most famous snacks.
It’s a pineapple soft serve dessert. It is served alone or as a float with pineapple juice. It is a really unique consistency though. It’s not quite a sorbet or sherbet, and it feels lighter than soft serve ice cream. It’s just one-of-a-kind.
Other flavors are sometimes available too. In Disney World’s Adventureland restaurant, Aloha Isle, you can buy pineapple, vanilla, orange, or a swirl of two flavors. My personal favorite is an Orange Dole Whip Float. Yum!
This quick, little video shows a Cast Member’s day at the Tiki Juice Bar in Disneyland, serving Dole Whips. (I love that they made “My First Dole Whip/Float” celebration buttons!) Continue Reading…
Happy Labor Day

Last October, Maelstrom in the Norway Pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase closed, in order to make way for the construction of an attraction based on the movie Frozen. This summer, the ride’s story was released. Now, we have concept art for the attraction’s sign, a scene from the ride, and the expanded pavilion.
The sign for the ride ride features the Frozen logo in its signature font, as well as traditional Norwegian rosemaling (a decorative style of painting).
